Kenora

Kenora

It took me three hours to drive to Kenora, 40 miles from the Manitoba border. I parked along the lake by the water plane port (all of three planes 1 six seater, 1 four seater, 1 two to three seater) and the cruise boat dock and the 30 or so boat marina.

Marina on one side, pavilion on land.  Today it is decked out for the grade 12 graduation ceremony.

Three of four plagues on the side of the path - above photo - tell the early history of Kenora.

Princess Louise - she of Lake Louise fame.  Her third name was Alberta after her father.  In between is Caroline a village in Alberta.  She was a popular Vice

Ref Loonie Bear.  All funds collected go into the Community Fund for the benefit of children.
